High-purity, easily absorbable collagen peptides to support skin and joint health.
The highest-quality, most reliable collagen products are made from known, trusted sources, such as wild-caught fish rather than those raised in crowded farming conditions.
Dr. Lenkei fish collagen is derived from wild-caught cod and other northern sea fish, also wild-caught. Through natural enzymatic processing, large collagen proteins are broken down into smaller units, called peptides, making them easier to absorb.
1 scoop contains 10 grams of pure collagen.

Product information

Ingredients

100% hydrolyzed collagen made from wild-caught marine fish; acerola extract; acidity regulator: malic acid; flavoring: natural strawberry flavor; sweetener: steviol glycosides from stevia (Rebaudioside A).

The collagen is perfect all-in-one superstar for our body.
It is the most abudant protein in our body as about 25-35% of proteins in our connective tissues, skin, bones and tendons are made up of collagen.
Collagen has a specific and unique amino acid composition.

Suggested use: Mix 1 scoop (11 g) of strawberry fish collagen into fruit juice, milk, yogurt, a vegetable or fruit smoothies, a milkshake, etc. If you prefer a very mild-tasting drink, you can also mix it into water. If you want to consume exactly 10 g of collagen, measure out 11 g of powder on a scale.

Collagen comes from the Greek word for “colla” (meaning glue) and is found throughout the body, so it can be thought of as a “cell adhesive” that helps hold all the connective tissues in the body together.
Collagen plays an important role in the body in this process and provides strength, firmness and elasticity to our skin, bones, muscles, tendons, cartilage, nails, teeth and organs, including the entire digestive system. The amino acids in collagen are the building blocks of these structures!
The body itself can produce collagen, but from the age of 25 the production of this important protein decreases until the age of 50, when the body produces almost no collagen at all.

Maintaining proper collagen levels and proper daily collagen intake is part of a nutritious diet. Collagen is an important protein that is often missing from the daily diet. Collagen and specific amino acids balance protein-amino acid intake. This is due in particular to the ratio of L-methionine to glycine. The latter is very rich in collagen.

Increasing collagen intake should not be limited to dietary supplements. For example, you can make your own bone soup and eat stew. The use of collagen hydrolysate is particularly practical and time-saving. Collagen hydrolysate from wild marine fish is an excellent choice for this, as it allows you to quickly and easily supplement your daily diet with collagen and important amino acids.

Made from wild-caught marine fish

Natural and gentle hydrolysis (cutting into pieces) of collagen proteins from high quality marine fish skin produces low molecular weight peptides weighing 3-6 kDa. The taste of the powder is very neutral, so it is an ideal raw material for shakes and smoothies. Due to the low molecular weight of the collagen particles, they are absorbed efficiently and quickly. With a protein concentration of up to 95% per serving, this dietary supplement is as pure as possible.

Quality is important

Not all collagen powders are of the same quality. In 2020, the Clean Label Project analyzed 30 collagen products for the heavy metals: arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury. The report found that 100% of the collagen supplements tested kept mercury levels within safe food standards. However, 34% contained low measurable concentrations. However, 37% were positive for high lead levels and 17% for high cadmium levels.
Animal-friendly and sustainable sourcing solves many of these problems. That report emphasizes that heavy metal contamination is a by-product of concentrated feeding and animal processing. Fortunately, we only use wild-caught marine fish in this product.

Tested for heavy metals

Quality control, product safety and transparency are very important to us. Therefore, all certificates of analysis are thoroughly reviewed and each new batch is subjected to double analysis in an independent laboratory. This is how we ensure quality! Typical values for the heavy metals of our collagen hydrolyzate from wild marine fish:

  • Arsenic (As) ≤ 1 mg/kg
  • Cadmium (Cd) ≤ 0.02 mg/kg
  • Lead (Pb) ≤ 0.10 mg/kg
  • Mercury (Hg) ≤ 0.05 mg/kg
